Launching FinTech MBA Internal Scholarship Program for Kuwaitis in Cooperation with Gulf University
In light of CBK’s strategy to develop qualified national cadres in the financial and banking sector, and in response to the changes taking place in this field, the Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies (KIBS) announces the launch of FinTech MBA internal scholarship program for Kuwaitis, in cooperation with Kuwaiti banks and Gulf University for Science and Technology.
In a statement the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait and Chairman of the KIBS, Basel Al-Haroon, said that the program is the first of its kind which aims to build national capacity to support the country’s economic and social development.
The Governor added that the program’s terms allow the MBA graduates to work at any institution in the public or private sector, without any obligation to work in the banking sector or the CBK.
Al-Haroon expressed his gratitude to Kuwaiti banks for sponsoring the initiative, the Gulf University for Science and Technology for offering the program in accordance with the best academic standards, and KIBS for managing the initiative.
Those interested can view the program’s terms and conditions on the "Kafa'a" initiative website. Kuwaitis holding an undergraduate university degree can submit applications starting from 18 August until 5 September 2024.
