CBK Honors Banks for Outstanding Awareness and Education Efforts in 2024
The Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), Basel A. Al-Haroon, honored Kuwaiti banks for their outstanding performance in supporting the banking awareness campaign "Diraya” launched by CBK in collaboration with Kuwait Banking Association (KBA). These banks harnessed their full capabilities to engage with customers through digital channels and social media platforms, while also organizing initiatives tailored to diverse segments of society. Their efforts aimed to maximize the campaign’s outreach and promote public awareness on a broad spectrum of financial and banking topics.
In a statement by the Governor, he praised the exemplary efforts of Kuwait Finance House, the National Bank of Kuwait, the Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, and the Kuwait International Bank. He also commended the level of interaction with, and response to, the campaign by all Kuwaiti banks, adding that the efforts made by all the banks contributed to the success of the campaign and delivering its messages to the widest segment of banking sector customers.
The Governor concluded by affirming that it spares no effort to spread financial and banking awareness and protect customers' rights in light of the development of banking services and associated risks, most notably electronic fraud and its various techniques that call for continuous awareness and expanding the role of Kuwaiti banking sector in social responsibility.
It's worth noting that the campaign utilizes a variety of tools and channels, including awareness videos, press releases, and informational materials across all communication channels, particularly digital channels, social media accounts of CBK, Kuwaiti banks, and KBA, as well as bank branches and other public-facing outlets. This comprehensive approach ensures the campaign's message is widely disseminated and engaged with by the public.
