CBK’s Systems Remain Sound and Robust

In his comment on the recent allegations - that most of the government systems including those of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) have been hacked and compromised by cross-border hackers - the Executive Director for Information Technology & Banking Operations Sector in the Central Bank of Kuwait, Mr. Anwar B. AI-Ghaith, denied any hacking pertaining to any of the CBK’s systems or website. Furthermore, Mr. Anwar clarified that in-house approved and strictly applied policies and procedures, which are primarily developed to protect the CBK’s systems and its website, ensure business continuity and avoid any potential interruption. To this end, the CBK has also taken the necessary and preventive precautions in line with the best international standards and practices to prevent any potential threat.
