Chairman of the Higher Committee of Shari’ah Supervision at the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) since 5-10-2020.
Member of the Fatwa Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
Member of the Shari’ah Committee at the Kuwait Public Authority for Minors Affairs.
Assistant professor at the Faculty of Basic Education of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.
Work Experience
Chaired the Shari’ah board at many banking and finance institutions in Kuwait including Warba Bank and National Takaful Insurance Company, and served as member in many other Shari’ah boards.
Academic Qualifications
Holds a PhD in Comparative Fiqh from the Islamic University of Medina. He has a number of published works and contributions presented to, discussed at many specialist Islamic finance conferences and events both locally and abroad.
