CBK Adds 7 New Companies to the Register of e-Payment Services Providers, e-Money Services Providers & e-Payment Systems Operators

Continuing its efforts to encourage innovation in financial services, enhance electronic payment services and regulate these activities, ensure providing high-quality, efficient and secure services to the public, and improve effectiveness and flexibility of financial transactions, the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) approved the registration of seven companies to practice as Large e-Payment Services, Small e-Payment Services and Small e-Money Services.

In a press statement, CBK stated that the companies approved for registration in the register of EPSP, EMSP and EPSO are Upayments for Electronic Payment and Settlement Systems Co. and Hesabe for Electric Payment & Settlement Systems Co. to practice as Large e-Payment Service providers, and Bookeey for Electronic Payment, My Rateb General Trading Company, and AZ e-Wallet e-Money Service Provider Company to practice as Small e-Money Service providers. CBK also approved the registration of Tahseeel Dot Com for Electronic Payments and K-lick Pay for Electronic Payment and Settlement Systems to practice as Small e-Payment Service providers.
