CBK Celebrates its Distinguished Female Talent on International Women's Day

The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) recognizes the contribution of women and celebrates their achievements and excellence on the occasion of International Women’s Day observed on March 8th. As an institution that believes in the effective role of women in society and their distinguished performance across the business sectors, the CBK provides a positive example.

His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Dr. Mohammad Y. Al-Hashel, stated that the CBK enables women’s participation in the CBK. To this end, the CBK launched several initiatives and training programs that provide ongoing career development to qualify them to hold senior positions and to achieve gender equality in the Bank.

The Governor added that women compose 58% of staff, 42% of leadership roles, and 57% of all recipients of the “CBK Distinguished Employees Award”. This exemplifies CBK’s confidence in national female talent and their ability to assume responsibility and to succeed, thereby driving CBK’s performance.

Dr. Al-Hashel affirmed that the CBK’s commitment to gender diversity shall continue to provide female talents with opportunities so that they may contribute to sustainable development and to serve their country.
